Frobel Academy
At Frobel Academy, we are committed to the holistic development of every child—academically, emotionally, and socially. At the heart of this commitment lies our belief in teaching each child in a way that best supports their individual needs and learning style. Our pedagogy is inspired by the philosophy of Friedrich Froebel, emphasising that learning should be both joyful and purposeful, with the child at the centre of all we do. Through this approach, we aim to nurture a lifelong love for learning in every child.
As a school with both Cambridge and STEAM accreditation, we maintain high standards in teaching, curriculum design, and innovation. We strive to ensure strong pedagogical leadership and meaningful community engagement, creating an environment where children thrive.
Frobel Academy carries forward the ethos and child-centred philosophy established by Frobel Play School, building upon this strong foundation as a sister concern. While it stands as a distinct institution, the shared vision allows us to extend and deepen our approach—continuing to nurture creativity, independence, and a love for learning in a more advanced academic setting.
Our goal is to develop learners who are critical thinkers, curious knowledge seekers, and compassionate individuals—motivated to use their skills and understanding to contribute positively and meaningfully to society.

Student Recreation: Sports and Cultural Activities
At Frobel Academy, student recreation is an important part of our holistic educational approach, encouraging students to stay active, creative, and culturally connected beyond the classroom.
Sports Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm as an inclusive and joyful event where participation, teamwork, and effort are valued above competition. Every student is encouraged to take part, build confidence, and enjoy the spirit of physical activity in a supportive environment. The focus remains on personal growth, resilience, and sportsmanship, rather than winning or ranking.
In addition to Sports Day, Frobel Academy celebrates the traditional Kite Flying Festival during Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year. This activity revives a beautiful but gradually fading cultural tradition in Bangladesh. Students enjoy flying kites together in an open and festive atmosphere, experiencing joy, freedom, and cultural connection. The event helps them appreciate their heritage while strengthening community spirit and togetherness.
Through these recreational experiences, Frobel Academy ensures that students remain physically active, culturally grounded, and emotionally enriched, while building confidence, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
- Social Responsibility activities: Our students actively engage in meaningful social responsibility initiatives such as DFC (Design for Change) and Citizenship programs. Each grade builds a connection with different community groups—including free schools, school support staff, old age homes, special needs schools, and orphanages. Throughout the year, students regularly visit, interact, and contribute in thoughtful ways, fostering empathy and a sense of responsibility. Additionally, special initiatives like the Ramadan Drive encourage giving, compassion, and community support.
- Inclusion at Frobel:
At Frobel, across all three institutions—Frobel Play School, Frobel Play School Dhaka, and Frobel Academy—we strongly believe that inclusion is not just a practice, but a core value that shapes everything we do. We are committed to creating an environment where every child, regardless of ability or learning need, is supported, valued, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Inclusion is not a separate system at Frobel—it is deeply embedded in our everyday classrooms, teaching practices, and school culture.
We offer a comprehensive inclusion support system that includes Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy, an Enrichment Centre, and an Early Intervention Centre (EIC), all delivered through individualized, one-to-one support to ensure focused attention and meaningful progress for each child.
Occupational Therapy (OT) at Frobel plays a vital role in helping children develop the essential skills required for daily functioning and effective learning. This includes improving fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, hand–eye coordination, attention, and self-regulation. Through structured, play-based, and individualized sessions, occupational therapists support children in areas such as handwriting, balance, coordination, personal independence, and classroom readiness. OT is especially important for children who face challenges in sensory processing, motor development, focus, or self-care skills, which may affect their ability to fully engage in classroom learning. Early and consistent intervention helps bridge these gaps, enabling children to become more confident, independent, and successful learners.
The Enrichment Centre is a specialized remedial programme designed for children who require additional academic support or who benefit from learning at a different pace. A special education teacher works closely with the child, class teacher, special needs education consultants, and family members to design and implement an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This collaborative approach ensures that each child receives targeted academic intervention tailored to their unique learning needs.
The Early Intervention Centre (EIC), offered at Frobel Play School and Frobel Play School Dhaka, supports infants and toddlers aged 2–5 years who may be at risk or experiencing developmental delays. This programme focuses on strengthening communication, social, cognitive, and foundational developmental skills. It also provides parents with guidance, resources, and strategies to actively support their child’s growth. The mission of the Early Intervention Programme is to identify developmental challenges as early as possible and provide timely, effective intervention that supports both child and family development, preparing children for a smooth transition into formal schooling.
At Frobel Academy, inclusion continues through a vocational and life-skills-based approach. Instead of Early Intervention, the focus shifts to vocational learning and practical skill development, enabling older students with additional needs to build independence, confidence, and real-world functional abilities. This ensures that every learner is prepared not only academically but also for meaningful participation in everyday life and society.
Importantly, at Frobel, SEN (Special Educational Needs) children learn alongside their peers in inclusive classrooms. This integrated model encourages social interaction, peer learning, and a strong sense of belonging. It benefits all learners—SEN children gain social modeling and academic support, while other students develop empathy, patience, leadership, and respect for diversity.
The benefits of inclusion are far-reaching. It enhances academic progress, strengthens emotional and social development, improves communication skills, and builds a compassionate and respectful school community. Most importantly, it prepares all children for a diverse world where understanding and acceptance are essential life skills.
Inclusion is at the heart of Frobel because we believe education must adapt to the child, not the other way around. It reflects our commitment to equity, compassion, and individualized support. This is why Frobel stands as an institution where every child is seen, supported, and empowered to grow with dignity, confidence, and independence
Fair Offer: We are pleased to offer a 50% discount on the admission fee across all schools during the Prothom Alo Campaign period, from 26th April 2026 to 3rd May 2026, terms and conditions apply.
Message From Principal
At Frobel Play School and Frobel Academy, we believe education is at a turning point—and schools must rise to meet it. The purpose of education can no longer be confined to grades and textbooks. It must evolve into a force that shapes values, builds character, and prepares responsible, future-ready human beings.
We are educating children for a world that is rapidly transforming one that demands not just knowledge, but creativity, critical thinking, powerful communication, and deep empathy. The true measure of education lies in its ability to nurture thinkers, innovators, and compassionate leaders who will shape the future with courage and conscience.
This journey begins in the earliest years. At Frobel Play School, we embrace a play-based approach where learning is joyful, meaningful, and free from pressure laying a strong and lasting foundation for life. This vision is carried forward into Frobel Academy, where holistic development is intentionally strengthened through a dynamic integration of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), sports, and STEAM, preparing students for the Cambridge Assessment International Education pathway up to the IGCSE O and A levels.
However, academic readiness alone is not enough. The emotional well-being of our children is now one of the greatest educational priorities of our time. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 7 adolescents globally experiences mental health challenges. This is not just data, it is a call for schools to become spaces where children feel safe, seen, and valued. Only then can true learning unfold.
Equally, the future of education must be inclusive by design, not by exception. Every child has the right to learn, grow, and belong in an environment that respects differences and nurtures potential. Schools must move beyond uniformity and build systems that support diverse learning needs with dignity and intention. At Frobel, this commitment is deeply embedded in our practice. Our continued work in inclusive and progressive education has been recognised through multiple accolades affirming our belief that when education evolves, every child thrives.
The time has come to shift our mindset from comparison to celebration of individuality. When we choose to see children for their strengths rather than their limitations, we raise individuals who are confident, compassionate, and ready to contribute meaningfully to the world.
Education must not prepare children only to succeed in the world as it is but to transform it into what it should be.
“The future of education lies not in standardising minds, but in honouring every child’s right to belong, to grow, and to rise.”
