Bilingualism
At NHCIS, we aim to equip our students with strong language competencies in both English and Bangla. While the main medium of instruction is English, our bilingual policy will give our students a competitive edge as they learn to understand and respect their roots while learning to look at the world though a global lens.

The Understanding by Design (UBD) framework underpins our curriculum planning. Rather than focusing on simple recall, we teach for deep understanding. Our approach equips students with the intellectual tools to make meaningful connections between key concepts and to transfer their knowledge and skills to unfamiliar contexts. EARLY YEARS AT NHCIS
Our Early Years (EY) Programme is one of the most highly sought-after in Dhaka, recognized for its
strong focus on holistic development and bilingual excellence. Our thoughtfully designed three-year programme provides a balanced foundation that nurtures each child’s physical, intellectual, moral, emotional, and social growth. While we maintain high expectations for learning, our approach is developmentally appropriate, play-based, and inquiry- driven, ensuring that children build strong early literacy and numeracy skills within a joyful and secure environment. Culture of care
All our teachers are qualified teachers. The teachers are suitably trained to meet the needs of each child and recognize every child’s special abilities. Every class is also assigned a classroom assistant to support teachers in meeting the students' needs.
Equal exposure to both English and Bangla
Across all grade levels, we place equal importance on English and Bangla, ensuring our students develop confidence and proficiency in both languages. While we offer an international curriculum, we deeply value our cultural roots and national identity, encouraging children to remain connected to their heritage through their mother tongue. At the same time, we equip them with strong English communication skills to enable them to thrive in global academic and professional environments.
