- ADMISSION PROCESS & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- The process starts with a placement test. The time of the test is usually held between 10:00AM and 2:00PM on week days (Sunday to Thursday).
- An admission form with admission Fee.
- Two copies of recent passport sized photos and one stamp sized photo of the child. Parents’ NID and a recent passport sized photo of each parent.
- A photocopy of birth registration.
- A photocopy of EPI vaccination card (Applicable for Play, Nursery and Pre-One).
- A transfer certificate of the previous school / Report Card (Class 2 - Class 9).
CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM UP TO A-LEVEL A Cambridge education prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. Schools can shape a Cambridge curriculum around how they want their students to learn, helping them discover new abilities and a wider world. Cambridge students develop the skills they need to achieve at school, university and work.
Note
1. Fees of the Board Exams, Books, Copies & Uniform are excluded.
2. All fees are non-refundable.
3. Required fees will be added for any other programs the school offers (for example- Graduation ceremony, annual picnic etc.)
4. You are asked to pay your child’s tuition fees by the 7th of each month. 5. Late fees 50/- taka per day.
6. 1.5% Bank Charge will be added for card payments.
7. The siblings of the same family, 2nd & 3rd children will get a discount offer of 1000/- taka on admission fee .
CO-CURRICULAR & EXTRA CURRICULAR
Extracurricular activities are beneficial experiences that enhance children's happiness and overall wellness. Children who participate in sports typically receive better grades in school and have higher self-esteem than kids who don't play sports. As they play sports more frequently, they have better social networks and are generally healthier than the non-athletes
COMPETITIONS, ART AND LITERARY FESTS AND EXHIBITIONS
Here at PHGS, we believe that different competitions help students learn academic concepts more effectively, develop a growth mindset, build mental toughness, better analyse risks, become more intrinsically motivated, improve social and emotional learning, collaborate and teamwork. For primary and junior students we have regular competitions conducted class wise like action songs, recitation, ‘show and tell’, ‘tell-a-tale’, spell bee, ‘spin-a-yarn , declamation etc.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TAKE PART IN
Art Fest that allows children to compete in areas like sketching, painting, clay work, tattoo designing, craft, origami, designing, photography etc. Literary Fest that includes all literary events like debate, quiz, one-act play, recitation, jingles creation, declamation, wall magazine creation etc. Science Exhibition where students compete with others in science related areas like poster making and presentation, model making and presentation, quiz etc
A wide variety of books from various age groups are available in the school library to suit the interests of young readers. Students can read books, newspapers, periodicals, journals, magazines, and other reading materials of their choice in the library's cozy seating areas
SCIENCE LAB
The school's hygienic, roomy, well-ventilated general science lab, equipped with the newest machinery and other essential fixtures and fittings, gives students plenty of opportunity to conduct experiments to learn about scientific concepts. Under the direction of the subject teacher, students in class VI and above can enhance their experimental skills by working on scientific laws and concepts in school’s lab
COMPUTER LAB
Given the growing importance of computer-based education, The PHGS has integrated computer instruction into its curriculum starting in class 1 to provide students with knowledge of computer applications under the competent supervision of Teachers who have received training
SCHOOL TRANSPORT
Since March 2022, PHGS has run its own school bus service, prioritizing the safety and security of its students. Please contact the management or transport department if your child requires transport. SCHOOL UNIFORM
All students wear the specific uniform maintaining the day plan. They have specific attire for summer and winter. They wear orange and yellow t-shirt in summer and black blazers in winter. From Class 6 onwards, girls have to wear Salwar – Kameez. Boys must also wear full pants from Class 1.
